In July, I spent five days in Cincinnati for the American Heritage Girls' 30th Anniversary Celebratory Conference! WOW, what a week!
If you’re not familiar with American Heritage Girls (AHG), they are a Christ-centered organization founded in 1995 by parents who desired a faith-based, scout-style program for their daughters. AHG equips young women to grow in integrity and character through service to God, family, community, and country. Their mission aligns so well with the heart of Pray Her Forward! And, the theme of the event was the Pearl of Great Price, so naturally, I just had to be there with my booth exploding with pearls!
Being in a conference center full of mentors committed to investing in the spiritual, emotional, and leadership development of girls was a profound reminder that mentorship isn’t just a nice idea—it’s a necessary calling. In a world full of noise, confusion, and shifting values, it’s our responsibility to pass down truth, heritage, and faith—not just information, but wisdom lived out.
“One generation shall commend your works to another, and shall declare your mighty acts.” – Psalm 145:4
I was also so encouraged by the response to More Precious Than Pearls—I nearly sold out of books and donated two copies to girls! Several girls in the Pioneers and Patriots (middle and high school levels) asked me if I could create a "faith patch" to celebrate their completion of the curriculum—how cool is that? I’m now exploring a possible partnership with AHG to make that vision a reality!
One of the winners of our pearl count guessing game! (Won 2 pearl pens!)
Esther, another winner of our pearl count guessing game!
Hannah, the grand prize winner of our pearl count guessing game! (She won a book!)
Thank you, American Heritage Girls, for putting on an amazing celebration!
