Over time (and through mentorship and letting the Word heal me), I realized I was making anxiety my go-to emotion. I was choosing anxiety first because it felt familiar. I realized there will always be external factors we can’t control that we can allow to make us anxious. And on top of that, the enemy causes a spiritual resistance against the things of God and what He wants us to do.

I never felt qualified to lead a Bible study. I hadn’t read the whole Bible, didn’t know theology, and could barely pray out loud without stumbling. But God didn’t wait for me to feel ready—He asked me to do it afraid.
That one small “yes” changed everything.
Years later, He called me again—out of a decade-long career and into ministry. Once more, I felt unqualified. But I’ve learned this: God’s definition of success isn’t about numbers, titles, or credentials. It’s about obedience.
